Grilles and grille boxes installed in T-profile suspended ceilings can result in the ceiling structure becoming overloaded if there is no provision for independant support i.e. the ceiling itself is left to take the weight. When combined with other services such as lights, speakers etc. the total weight may exceed the ceiling manufacturer's recommended limits for loadbearing. Accordingly, the requirement that grilles are suspended independantly is a common feature of works specification. It may therefore be of interest to you to have suspension lugs fitted to the grille box. These lugs are provided as flat plates ready fixed to the box. They have pre-punched holes suitable for 6mm threaded rod or wire support systems and can be bent out by hand as and when required. See images below:
